School Chaley Hum...

School chaley hum…

Just saw this jingle on the tv and nostalgia filled my heart with the old memories.
To start the day @ 6 AM, eat hurriedly at the breakfast table and cycle my way to skool… standing in the assembly line and singing the hymns in praise of god, concluding with a pledge, where ’all Indian are my brothers and sisters’ became ’all Indians are your brothers and my sisters’ were simply some unforgettable moments that would definitely find their way into my talks with my children ;)

(Or)ganic Anyone??

Being organic is not about buying expensive stuff with labels saying ‘made from 100% recycle material/ organic material’ it’s a way of life that needs to be deeply understood. For instance if you have been using and reusing paper, not printing every email, using cloth bags for your daily shopping, or walking your short distances, you are doing your bit towards being organic in a simple way you can.
Just to keep in mind that the though that is important and then follows the action.
You may not be buying organic foods or cosmetics but if you are aware of your role towards a building of a happy environment. An environment where lying under the lush green tree, listening to the murmur of water, music is the twitter of birds, air so fresh the sun warm, just enough to make you smile and the you see the clouds just float by.
Remember that every single bit counts. If you wish to see the change in the world, and more importantly the society around you, let that change come from you, after all the public is merely a multiplied ‘ME’.
Let yourself be the driving force for a better society, a better world, because its just one life and one planet that we have. Take care.

PS: I think I started with something & ended with something else but I guess it’s the thought that counts, after all…

A day without...

I always thought that its next to impossible to have an entire day without my cell phone!!
but I was amazed to experience such a day recently, when by mistake I left my cell phone at home and realized too late, to go back and get it. The feeling of missing calls, missing messages and staying in touch never lingered too long, as I was left undisturbed for the rest of the day and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! I not only enjoyed my day but also had loads of time to spend with myself :)
Would love to have another day just like this one, with the only difference being that this time I would purposely leave my phone and not forget it :)
